So close! Two pain points identified.

  • Narrator does not have enough points to spend
  • Players should probably have a 'do something where you don't know the outcome' action.

So both of those have been added.

  • Stakes go from 1-5 instead of 1-3
  • players have two new actions:
    • Take a Chance, for actions that are uncertain, and up to the Narrator to decide the outcome
    • Trivial Action, as a catch-all for doing things that are small. You don't need to use the 'Learn something' action to just talk to an NPC for instance.
  • Raise Stakes changed to Change Stakes
    • Narrator should be more empowered to really swing the stakes if needed.
  • Reduce/Negate Action and Move Clock both have their cost reduced from 2 to 1
  • Overall, the Narrator has more opportunity act harshly, which was needed
