Flatline Defense is a Vampire Survivors inspired game where hold off the hordes as long as possible.

This game is a vertical slice, featuring eight weapons, four enemies, a five minute time limit, and zero vampires.

This vertical slice doesn't feature any tutorials, so please find the game info here. Game works fine with keyboard, but is better with controller!

WALK/SPRINT

Your normal speed is WALK. You can press either Shift or LT/RT on a controller to SPRINT. Most weapons can only be used either while walking OR sprinting.

While sprinting, the camera zooms out giving you greater situational awareness.

PLACEBO

The ultimate defense against illness. Can only be used when the Immune Response meter on the left is full. Fill the meter by killing enemies! The big golden enemies are tough to kill, but instantly fill your meter!

Deploy the Placebo by pressing LB/RB on controller or G on keyboard.

WEAPONS

Boomerang.
The starting weapon. Pretty weak and difficult to use effectively, but the only weapon that can be used while walking and sprinting. Also, Darold is from Australia? Or maybe just the blood cell? It's complicated.

Inflammation.
Sprint Weapon. While sprinting, leave a trail of fire behind you to block off enemies.

Immunization Shot.
Walk Weapon. While walking, continually fire off a spread of syringes. Shots are destroyed on impact.

Snowplow.
Sprint weapon. It's a snowplow. Attach a big ol' snowplow to the front of your cell. Does no damage, but lets you shove enemies around real good.

Caduceus.
Walk Weapon. Fire a symbol of medical health in the direction you're moving. Shot pierces multiple enemies and can hit multiple times.

Defibrillator.
Sprint weapon. While sprinting, a healing aura surrounds you. Touch the heart to bring it back to life!

Antibiotic.
Walk weapon. While walking, a damaging aura surrounds you. Short range, but constant damage makes it a considerable threat to invasive bodies!
